Choose a name for your site (such as "bartsimpson", for example),
this will be your "subdomain". A subdomain is what precedes
a domain name.
Your URL
in this case will be the following: bartsimpson.coolfreepages.com, and
this will be your site address, so you will use this URL to access your
website from the Internet. To register
your account with Cool Free Pages services fill the text box below.
Using the
account and password emailed to you, use any ftp client to connect to
our FTP site. Use your_site_url as a host name for the FTP connection.
If you don't understand much about FTP, please reffer to our FAQ, it is
explained in there.
Upload your
content directly in to the directory that opens when you connect, no need
to create directories such as "html" etc. Everything you send there will
be seen "AS-IS" on the internet via
yoursubdomain.domain.com
In
order to use PHP, your scripts must have one of the following extensions:
.php, .php3 or .phtml. That's it. Upload then and they will work!
